Born 04/07/1983 in a small town in Italy called Pescara, Luca De Massis had always been passionate about the arts. He began playing music at a very young age and grew interested in film photography and the fashion industry. Luca would then get the opportunity to travel all over Europe as a child. During that time, his interest only grew as he met countless talented and interesting people and got the chance to learn from different cultures. Although Luca had the opportunity to travel, it should be understood that he came from a middle-class family. He took on a role to help the family make ends meet. Luca’s love for photography remained despite having to work, and he often took photos with old cameras and polaroids. Luca De Massis would take a vacation at nineteen and got a glimpse of what he wanted his career to look like. He went to the United States and stayed in New York. There the young photographer looked for opportunities to display his work in a different country. Eventually, Luca came home to Italy and instantly felt he was missing something. After taking a bite out of the big apple, Luca had the American Dream stuck in his head. The young photographer was determined to go back and work. He began working hard and saving so he could get a visa and make his dream come true. Eventually, Luca did it and made the big move in 2007. When he arrived, life was complicated. He found plenty of doors closing in his face, a challenging language barrier, and little money in his pocket. Although it was disheartening, Luca was determined to push harder every day and book more shoots. Eventually, Luca’s luck would turn around. Social media had been slowly on the rise at that time, and it provided him with the opportunity to get in touch with more people in the industry. Since then, Luca De Massis has become a household name known throughout the industry for his raw and real photographs. With over fifteen to seventeen years of experience as a photographer, Luca has become one of Europe’s most premier published photographers. He is well known for his “Love What You Do” philosophy, which is the reason behind his success and hundreds of positive reviews from clients worldwide. Luca’s works have seen him featured in prominent European magazines like Elle, Vogue, Forbes to name a few.
His success has also allowed him to develop a team of talented individuals working with him. Outside of professional photography, Luca also ventured into the digital space. He realized the importance of design in the online spectrum and how it can influence marketing services through branding, website design, video production, logo, SEO and more.
